Worked for the past 2 days (Sat & Sun) for SA travel fair @ Suntec City as a queue leader
1st day
Was quite enthusiastic in the beginning as I feel that it is going to be fun.
Morever as Suntec City was located near to Promenade Station and that was the 1st time I went to board a train in Circle Line, thus I was very excited and took some photos.
Reached Suntec City early so i hanged around there until I saw Colleen and talked to her until it was the time to report for work.
Some people were kia su as I saw them lining up outside Suntec hours before the travel fair officially opens at 10 a.m.
My jobscope was to look out for empty counters and flip the chart to the next number if there were empty counters. I thought to myself initially, "This is easy!"
10 a.m.
Like a waterfall, people began rushing into the travel fair and although they were supposed to wait for their queue no. to be called but no one bothered. Well that's none of my business anyway.
A man was waiting for his queue no. for quite some time until he got pissed off and returned the queue no. back to me angrily (don't misunderstand, he did not scold me, haha maybe he know that's not my fault) :)
For the rest of the day I was feeling quite sian as I have to keep looking out for empty counters (it's a long while before there were) and we, the part timers have to keep standing :CCCCCCCC
At 8 plus p.m. we were finally dismissed :DD I was looking at the time all day long and counting how many hours before we can be dismissed.
2nd day
Don't feel like going work initially but can't think of any good excuses hence... I went.
Tried cheering myself up by being crazy (HAHA) and listening to music.
A successful attempt as I managed to keep myself happy till around lunch time I supposed, before I plunged into the cliff of "misery" and keep looking at the time. There was a instant where I looked at the time and saw that only 3 minutes has passed D:
At 8 plus p.m. we were supposed to help packed up but I was feeling terrible then hence I avoided helping most of the time. When we were dismissed I felt like chionging home immediately as I was feeling very sian then.
NATAS expo travel fair coming up in 27 - 29 August, hope it will be a lot better.
